Ingrid Michaels Reviews 'The Birthday'
About This Review:
The sweetest and most unexpected tweet popped up in my Twitter account yesterday evening. It was from Ingrid Michaels (@ingridmichaels), who was letting her Twitterverse, which includes me, know she had written a brief review of 'The Birthday' and posted it on her blog.
First and foremost, thank you, Ingrid, for reading my story. As for using your time and care to write and post a review of 'The Birthday' on your blog, I am grateful and hope you will accept my deepest thanks.
About Ingrid Michaels:
Born and raised in Eastern Canada, I've migrated west over the years, leaving my eastern province roots behind for Ontario. I attended university in Toronto, a fantastic city *waves Canadian flag*, where I picked up a couple of Philosophy degrees and a Significant Other! Now you can add another answer to the age-old question: what do you do with a Masters in Philosophy degree? Why, you become a romance writer of course! Since then we've moved out of the big city to a more rural area to raise our family, which consists of one boy and one dog, only one of which sleeps outside.
My romance stories usually include the recurring themes of art, sometimes more subtly than other times. My novel-length fiction usually has ties with Canada, either in the setting or with one or more characters. I also try to include biking and some medical (cancer) aspects as another recurring theme.
I don't usually write paranormal stories, which makes it even odder that I plan on creating a five-part series of novellas based on Diagnosis, Love!
I am also testing the independent publishing waters with the hoped-for Winter 2011 release of Bahdria, a short love story set in Muhajeria Sudan.

Ingrid Michaels Reviews 'The Birthday'
"The Birthday is a well-written feel-good short story (too short, 'cause it's so darn good) of a woman's pre-birthday party meditation on the love and joy (and frustration, fear, and laughter) she has experienced as a loving, doting mother and as a happily married wife..."
